In September 2023, the ancient tea forest cultural landscape of Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er, Yunnan was reviewed at the 45th World Heritage Conference and included in the World Heritage List. It is the first tea-themed world heritage.
"Pu'er Jingmai Mountain Ancient Tea Forest Cultural Landscape" is located in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. Since the 10th century AD, the ancestors of the Bulang people discovered and understood wild tea trees, used the forest ecosystem, and together with the Dai and other long-standing ethnic groups, , explored the "forest tea" planting technology, and after thousands of years of protection and development, formed a unique cultural landscape of symbiosis of forest and tea, and harmony between man and earth.
