Prepare teapot or covered cup for tea brewing.
Quantity: Loose tea can be put directly into the teapot. If it is compressed tea package, use hands to break the compressed tea leaves into small pieces. If it is too compact to break, use a tea needle or tea knife to break into small pieces.
Steps:
- Preparation: Prepare teapot or covered cup for tea brewing. Here, purple sand teapot is used as an example, and the tea tray is used as a container.
- Warm the teapot: Pour boiling water into the tea tray first, pour it over the outside of the teapot, and pour the remaining water into the tea ware for brewing.
- Weigh the tea: Fill the bottom of the teapot with tea leaves for one person. If more people are drinking, please increase the amount of tea leaves.
- Rinse the tea: Pour hot water over the tea leaves and quickly pour it out.
- Steep the tea: Fill the teapot with water, steep for about 30 seconds, and then pour it into the tea tray. Steep for two times for tasting and adjustment.
- Repeat steeping: The tea can be drunk after about 3-4 steepings, and can continue to be steeped according to taste later.
Many people are afraid that compressed tea cannot be fully extracted when steeped, so they use the method of boiling tea, which is to use a heatable teapot to boil the tea. However, it is recommended to rinse the tea before boiling. Due to high-temperature extraction, the flavor of aged tea will be released more obviously.
